I flew from Frankfurt to Vienna on Niki and ordered the Chicken in creamy red pepper sauce ahead of time. Meals are catered by Demel and my hot order arrived quickly after take off in a take away container. The tender chicken pieces were accompanied by “Spatzle” and a drizzle of creme fraiche. This was the best “Buy On Board” meal that I have had so far and was worth every cent of the 8 EUR that I have paid.
Love love love this airline. Although they offer free snacks, you can upgrade your inflight meal option. Their catering is supplied by a company called Demel, and they really have some great options to choose from! You can pre order them at the time of booking. I took the Hong Kong noodle option, served right after take off, no waiting, and superior service. The meal was great, tasted really fresh, and was well priced!
