ECONOMY CLASS

On long haul flights departing Italy passengers will be given a choice of pasta or a meat dish with the second meal service being a smaller snack or breakfast option. On flights over 11 hours in duration, the airline will provide a third service of meals.

SPECIAL MEALS 

Special meals on Alitalia can be pre ordered on all long haul flights in Economy class, but note that on shorter flights you can only order special meals to/from:Rome-Tel Aviv-Rome, Catania/Palermo to Moscow and Catania/Venice to S. Petersburg.

Kosher meals require 48 hours notice except when departing from Tel Aviv where only 24 hours is required. All other meals should be requested at least 24 hours prior to departure.

Alitalia special meals are grouped into three categories, and for each one of these you can ask for the specific meal that may suit your request:
