Be prepared to experience a 5-star experience with the range of All Nippon Airways meals available on all routes. ANA is dedicated to providing a great variety of inflight meals no matter which cabin class you choose to fly in. For those lucky enough to experience first-class the airline works with 3 star Michelin chef Pierre Gagnaire. Economy class customers can take advantage of a new pre-order meal upgrade program too.


Since 2013 ANA has held its yearly voting contest on airline food options. They invite passengers to vote on Facebook for one of eight menu items; the two most popular menu items will end up being served inflight. The meals in ANA economy class are of an exceptional standard and include their ANA original bread that is also served in Business Class on departures from Tokyo (Haneda and Narita).

Passengers in ANA economy class can expect at least two meals services on most long haul routes. There are choices of Japanese or Western meal options.


The following beverages are available in ANA Economy Class.

Kabosu, Orange Juice, Apple Juice, Tomato Juice, Coke, 7UP, Sparkling Water, Milk, Green Tea, Hojicha, Coffee, Decaf. Coffee, Tea and Corn Soup.

Alcohol may include Red/White wine, Beers from Japan, Chivas Regal Whisky, Beefeater Gin, Vodka.

Main meal options will generally include a Japanese option as well as a western option.

There are some self-service snacks available on North America (except Honolulu), Europe, Sydney, and Indian routes. Expect traditional Arare rice crackers,  fruit and Aromatic Kabosu which is made from sun-drenched kabosu a green citrus fruit drink that is sour and sweet. Self-service snack bars onboard also offer fruits, Arare rice crackers, and other Japanese style snacks.

Passengers in economy and premium economy class can choose to upgrade their meals on flights from Japan to Europe/North America (excluding Honolulu).

You can select a paid exclusive dining meal (Japanese/Western cuisine) when travelling in Premium Economy or Economy class on international departures from Japan. There is a choice of western and Japanese options with desserts created by Pierre Herme Paris.

In addition to the standard economy class drinks offering, passengers in premium economy class will enjoy drinks from the business class cabin menu. Options such as Champagne, Wine, Sake, Plume Wine, and Shochu are available on most flights. Meal options in premium economy class include Japanese or Western options.


Business-class passengers can now pre-order a Japanese or Western meal for the first meal service on all ANA flights. To order your meal head here to book it, it’s not possible to request this over the phone. Meals must be booked at least 24 hours before departure.

It’s not possible to pre-order a meal where a supper/light meal service is offered, such as late-night flights.

ANA has recently introduced new inflight meals from restaurants and hotels for passengers flying to Japan from Los Angeles, Delhi, Mumbai, Singapore, and Taipei.

Passengers can enjoy creative dishes created by chef and founder, Joachim Splichal of the Patina Restaurant Group.

Passengers can enjoy dishes from the famed Italian restaurant Basilico. Meals have been created by Executive Chef Angelo Ciccone, who is originally from Locorotondo in southern Italy.
