COVID-19 UPDATE
Since March 2020 passengers should expect to be served a disposable snack bag including food and beverage, the bags will be either distributed during boarding or be placed on the seats.
It’s not possible to pre-order special meals at this time, if you require particular dietary items, it’s best to take these on the flight with you.
These new limitations are in place on all China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines flights from Japan, Korea, Germany, Italy, Spain, France, United Kingdom, Netherlands, United States and Australia.
ECONOMY CLASS
Economy class meals and drinks are included in the price of your ticket as well as non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages.
On most flights, economy class customers will be served hot meals, with a choice of two meal options.
SPECIAL MEALS
The following special meals can be pre-ordered on China Eastern Airlines flights, note that meals cannot be ordered online once you have made your booking, instead call your local office and they will be able to assist you.
Baby Meal, Child Meal, Toddler Meal, Kosher Meal, Moslem Meal, Seafood Meal, Hindu Meal, Low-Calorie Meal, Diabetic Meal, Low Fat Meal, Ulcer Diet Meal, Bland Meal, Soft Fluid Meal, Gluten-Free Meal, Low Lactose Meal, Low Salt Meal, Fruit Platter Meal, Nut Free Meal, Vegetarian Raw Meal, Vegetarian Lacto-Ovo Meal, Vegetarian Vegan Meal, Vegetarian Oriental Meal, Vegetarian Jain Meal and Vegetarian Hindu Meal.

BUSINESS CLASS
On long haul flights, service will begin with canapes and hot towels followed by beverages. The airline will offer two Chinese and two Western-style main meals to choose from, as well as one Chinese and one Western soup option. This will be followed by cheese, dessert, chocolates and fruit.
Night flights exclude soup and dessert in order to speed up the inflight service so you can rest.
