ECONOMY CLASS

There are no changes to the onboard service during the pandemic, it’s still possible to pre-order special meals.

Etihad airways meals are complimentary in all cabin class across the entire Etihad network. All meals served on Etihad are Halal, and you will enjoy a choice of up to three main meal choices and a bar service consisting of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. In April 2019 Etihad introduced a new meal concept in economy class they have removed the salad and appetiser from economy class meals in favour of larger main meal portions.

As part of the new dining sequence, you will be served the main hot meal first, once this is cleared away you will be served tea/coffee and dessert. On shorter flights, dessert will be served with the main meal.

Note that all meals on Etihad are Halal certified, so there is no need to order a special meal.

SPECIAL MEALS

Should be ordered no later than 24 hours prior to departure, but note that Kosher meals require at least 72 hours notice.

Special meals on Etihad include:

Vegetarian meal, Hindu meal, Kosher meal, Jain meal, Asian vegetarian meal, Bland meal, Diabetic meal, Fruit platter meal, Gluten-free meal, Low-calorie meal, Low fat/cholesterol meal, Low sodium meal, Non-lactose meal, Raw vegetable meal, Seafood meal, Vegetarian Lacto–Ovo meal, Vegetarian oriental meal, Child meal, Baby meal.

BUY ON BOARD

On ultra long haul and long-haul flights, the airline has introduced a range of extras for you to purchase, these items do not replace the main meal service, but allow you to purchase snacks/drinks and other food options should you wish to do so.

Items you can purchase onboard include a tapas box, hot dishes, and premium sweet and savoury snacks, brands include Bateel, Starbucks, Thorntons, Cawston Press, Heavenly, Perrier and Barebells.

Payments onboard can be made by all GCC and major international currencies as well you can pay by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club and JCB credit cards in UAE Dirhams. Note that Debit cards and prepaid credit cards are not accepted.

BUSINESS CLASS

Passengers Choose from an extensive á la carte range with the assistance of onboard chefs and Food and Beverage Managers. Longer flights offer all-day dining options that can be ordered whenever you like and may include up to 10 items including cereals, yoghurt, steak sandwich, ice cream, fruit, cookies and more.

Starters will include Arabic or Western options with four main meal choices available, followed by cheese and three dessert options.
