Love Thai Food? Then you are in for a treat as I take some flights to check out the Thai Airways meals in Economy Class. My flights will take me from Brussels to Bangkok onto Kuala Lumpur and Kunming to Bangkok and back to Brussels. All of my trips are in Economy Class and include a mixture of long and short haul flights.

WHAT I ATE

From Brussels to Bangkok:
Stir Fried Pork with Chilli and Basil, Rice and Peas for lunch. Crepe Stuffed with Cheese, Chicken, Bacon, and Spinach was served just before I landed.

Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur:
Stir Fried Chicken with Rice.

Kunming to Bangkok:
Pork with Noodles, Salmon Salad and Veggies.

Bangkok to Brussels:
Chicken Curry with Potatoes, Rice and Peas. Western Style Breakfast consisting of Scrambled Eggs, Sausage, and Stir Fried Vegetables.

WHAT WAS GOOD

My long haul flights were operated by new Boeing 777 aircraft that included the latest inflight entertainment and seating, I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful Thai influences that many of the inflight dishes offered. Even on short sectors between Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur/Kunming, I was served large quality inflight meal portions and even had a choice.

NOT SO GOOD

I can’t fault Thai Airways on anything, of course you always bump into one or two grumpy cabin crew members, but that can happen on any airline. If I had to fault something, it would be the Croissants that were served at breakfast were like rocks!
