I flew with SAS between Copenhagen and Dusseldorf to sample the new salads that recently launched. Depending on your fare type meals may not be included when flying with SAS within Europe. The airline doesn’t provide free meals to passengers who purchase Go fares; instead, they offer a range of meals and snacks available for purchase. The range includes salads, breakfast items, wraps and sweet and savoury snacks.
On this flight I ordered the pork fillet spelt salad with garlic cream and to drink a strawberry, banana and guava fruit smoothie. The salad is delivered promptly; it’s fresh, crisp and filling.
The salad cost €9 while the smoothie was €3, for airline food, it’s pretty reasonable and on par with what other airlines are charging for meals inflight.
