Finally made it to Melbourne! Swipe to see all the inflight pics. Quite a smooth well organised arrival and quarantine process, well done to the Australian government. Currently on my way to a city hotel for the next 14 days. 😷 Here's my meals from the 13hr flight from Doha to Melbourne. Just 14 of us onboard! Two meal services plus plenty of drinks and snacks offered by hand throughout the flight. Meal pictured was lunch served before arrival. The noodles were tasty and spicy. Served with a passion fruit yoghurt and fresh fruit. First meal out of Doha included 3 meal choices. I selected the chicken with rice which was delicious, the dessert was phenomenal, a salted caramel pot but the side salad of pasta and carrot was a little bland. Overall a great experience with Qatar Airways. Now is not the time to judge airlines too much. This will probably be my last insta post for a while. Hello from Doha! What a surreal experience flying is at the moment, like straight out of a movie. There was just 10 of us in economy class (Boeing 787) on Qatar Airways from Athens today. Service is still top notch, a few minor changes but the experience is still the same. Crew were not afraid to provide service and were very present in the cabin. Three main meal choices (chicken, beef or veg option) and plenty of drink options too! Well done to the airline for continuing to provide decent inflight service. The Chicken pasta covered in tomato sauce was delicious. The side salad was fresh and tangy, loved the focaccia bread and the cheesecake was delish. One more flight to go. Just because you're not flying around, doesn't mean you can't have fun with your food at home. A few #avgeeks have been posting home made #airlinemeal concepts thanks to @flysoplane for the inspiration! First up for lunch we have Bao Bun Airways in business class featuring delicious made from scratch bao buns filled with avocado, mushrooms and ginger. A crisp side salad, some yoghurt with honey and tea. I don't know how this all fitted in that tiny trolley! Next up we have boutique Italian airline Air Dolomitti with a delicious poached egg covered in salmon, avocado and fresh oregano from the mountains of Corfu. No breakfast is compete without a tasty cup of Illy coffee. I hope where ever you are you're safe and well. Take care. Hello from London! 👈 Swipe to see what to expect when flying with @westjet in economy class. I flew from Toronto to London Gatwick on a red eye flight last night and arrived early this morning. After take off was offered a snack box containing a wrap, apple and a slice of cinnamon and Apple cake. About 1.5 hours before landing, breakfast was served and there were two choices and I opted for the scrambled eggs with bell peppers and potatoes. This was served with a pain au chocolate, fresh fruit and yoghurt. I really liked the inflight meal tray concept and the paper/cardboard meal container, as well as the packaging and branding. It all looked quite appealing when served, and the scrambled eggs were delicious. (Not dry, quite fluffy and served piping hot) Besides a bit of attitude from a few of the crew, overall a fabulous flight with Westjet and I would highly recommend their 787 services! #inflightfeed #westjet #economyclass #planefood #boeing787 #airlinemeal #airlinecatering #airlinefood

Hello from 35,000ft! I'm currently onboard LH 470 from Frankfurt to Toronto and yes that's an economy class meal! 😍 Today I sampled two @lufthansa A la carte meals that you can pre order (and pay for) if you are travelling in economy. The first meal is called Mediterranean Delights and includes a green salad with balsamic dressing, Sautéed king prawns and artichokes on spaghetti in a tomato sauce and Tiramisu & chocolates for dessert. The second meal was the Healthy Selection which included a chickpea and matcha salad, the main was a spicy, red vegetable curry with quinoa and for dessert a Chia seed and mango mousse. Both meals were excellent quality and felt more like a business class meal, with touches like proper cutlery, ceramic plates, large tray, and cute salt and pepper shakers. The prawn pasta had a nice kick to it and there were plenty of prawns to feast on. The spicy curry was delicious and I absolutely loved the chia dessert. The Mediterranean Delights cost EUR19 and EUR15 for the Healthy Selection. They're priced well when compared to other airlines who offer similar pre order meals, I feel they offer great value.
