Hello from Zurich! Just flew in from Lisbon. 👈 Swipe to check out Portuguese airline TAP and their new economy class service which launched on 27 October on flights within Europe. Depending on your fare type you'll either get a hot meal or snack. I purchased an economy extra fare for today's flight which has spacious seats in the red zone with 33'' legroom. (It was about $30 for this fare) If you purchase an economy fare you'll get 28'' legroom in the green zone and a choice of two snacks. Swipe thru to check out the new snacks available in economy class. I also visited the lounge in Lisbon and took some food shots. Great experience, ok meal, heaps of leg room and friendly crew. Hello from Malaga! 👈 Swipe. Two flights today, quite a long day. The second flight was with @tuiuk from London to Malaga in economy class. From the onboard menu I purchased the chips from @greengourmetuk and pies from @montysbakehouse (very healthy today) 😂 from the onboard menu. Tui don't include meals on their short haul flights. Paid around £9.00 for this, pretty good value. Chips were delicious and crunchy and the bbq bourbon beef pie was great. (Only sampled one!) Interesting to fly a holiday airline, crew were super friendly and everyone is in holiday mode and happy. Hello from London! 👈 Swipe to check out the United Airlines experience in economy class. Took a night flight from New York (Newark) to London and before the flight I visited their lounge. Lounge was ok, the only hot food was soup, but I enjoyed all the healthy salads and vegetable offerings. Drinks were served by bartenders, no self service. The flight was only 6 hours, I was expecting it to be much worse. But was pleasantly surprised and how friendly the crew were. After take off they completed the service rapidly. First service offered a choice of pasta or chicken with a choice of free alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. I went with the chicken was covered by a layer of four cheese cheese sauce. There was also some Orzo which was quite tasteless. It was unexciting and the taste of cheese was overpowering. The barley salad was tasty, the greens were quite dry. After the meal was collected they served a lemon sorbet and turned off the lights. One hour before landing they handed out a continental breakfast. I only ate the croissant. Hello from New York! Just flew with Alaska Airlines from LA to JFK. 👈 Swipe to see the experience. Pre ordered the harvest salad and the protein platter via the airlines app. Had heard great feedback about their meals and they didn't disappoint. I think in total I paid $18 for these two meals. (My seat neighbour ordered the cheese platter and I took a picture of it.) Great combination of flavors in the salad and the protein platter was so filling. Fab crew and lovely experience. For $99 I upgraded to premium class for extra legroom, free drinks and a few other perks. There was also a complimentary choice of two snacks: a Kind bar or a packet of vegan crisps. I probably wouldn't call this a premium meal offering though.. In main cabin they served Biscoff cookies. Before landing another beverage service was completed. Hello from LA! 👈 Swipe for the American Airlines experience. Flew from Atlanta in main cabin. On this 4hr flight and you receive complementary non alcoholic drinks and a choice of either pretzels or @lotusbiscoff cookies. Was nice to receive the whole drink can. I pre ordered the @zoeskitchen Hummus Box, but the crew had no record of my order. However they were still able to sell me one. It cost USD$9.99 was served chilled, was light, healthy and tasty, enjoyed it although is slightly over priced. Crew came through with a second round of free drinks about 1 hour before landing. Hello from Boston! What an amazing experience today flying from London. Swipe 👈 to see it all. Delta just launched a fabulous new service in economy class on the 5th November. It includes hot towels, printed menus, after take off welcome drinks and so much more. There was a choice of two appetisers, three main meals and ice cream for the first service. Snacks available in the galley between services. For the second meal service a choice of two pizza snacks and a delicious chocolate mousse. Finally a goodbye chocolate. I opted for the chicken which was absolutely delicious and the cold appetiser of prosciutto and melon was lovely. The snack was delicious too. Didn't feel like economy class at all.
