COVID-19 UPDATE

Like many airlines across the globe, Turkish Airlines has updated its inflight service. Special meals can not be ordered at this time. The inflight catering sets offered use single-use products, and no hot drinks will be served.

On flights under 2 hours, only water is offered in economy or business class.

Economy class customers will receive a snack bag consisting of a sandwich, cake or muffin and juice/water. Longer flights will include an addition snack bag service.

ECONOMY CLASS

Turkish airlines meals are always included in the price of your ticket and known to be some of the best tasting meals in the air. The airline places a lot of emphasis on their inflight meal offerings for all passengers. Even on short domestic flights within Turkey, a substantial snack and drink are still offered.

Long Haul Routes

On short-haul international flights, there may not be a meal choice due to the short flying time, on longer routes expect a choice of two hot meal options. Printed menus in economy class feature on long haul routes.

Some of the beverages available on Turkish Airlines long haul routes include:

Whiskey, Gin, Vodka, Raki.

Various Turkish and International Red/White wines/Bottled Beer.

Homemade lemonade with fresh mint, Coke products.

Tea/Cofee.

Domestic Flights

For domestic flights, passengers are offered a sandwich as well as a Turkish meze and a dessert depending on the flight time. For all other flights, meals are prepared from the best fresh ingredients and include hot/cold breakfast, hot/cold meals depending on your departure time and flight time.

Alcohol is not served on Turkish Airlines domestic flights.

SPECIAL MEALS

All meals served on Turkish Airlines are prepared in accordance with Islamic rules, therefore you don’t need to request a Muslim meal. Special meals are only offered on international flights, not on domestic flights.

At least 24 hours notice is required to order the following Turkish Airlines special meal options:

Vegetarian Hindu, Non-vegetarian Hindu meal, Vegetarian Raw Meal, Baby Meal, Kosher Meal, Seafood Meal, Bland Meal, Low-Calorie Meal, Strict Vegetarian, Child Meal, Low Fat Meal, Jain Meal, Diabetic Meal, Low Salt Meal, Vegetarian Lacto-Ovo Meal, Vegetarian Oriental Meal, Gluten Intolerant Meal, Low Lactose Meal and Celebration Cake (only Miles and Smiles members can order this meal).

Please note if you have allergies, you must supply the airline with a medical report.

BUSINESS CLASS

International Flights

Business-class passengers can pre-order their main meal option via the airline’s website or app. Up to 44 meals can be pre-ordered 48 hours before your flight, inflight meal availability can be viewed here.

Meal pre-ordering is available on flights from Istanbul to Atlanta, Bangkok, Boston, Buenos Aires, Jakarta, Cape Town, Durban, Guangzhou, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Houston, Johannesburg, Caracas, Kuala Lumpur, Los Angeles Madagascar, Manila, Maputo, Mauritius, Miami, Montreal, New York, Panama, Phuket, San Francisco, Sao Paulo, Seoul, Singapore, Shanghai, Chicago, Taipei, Tokyo, Toronto and Washington DC.

Meals can be booked up to 48 hours before your flight.

On Intercontinental night flights, there is a dine on-demand service allowing you to choose when you want to dine, rather than eating when the service starts.

Passengers can expect welcome drinks and a wide range of inflight meal options that have been prepared freshly. On select international flights, an inflight chef will prepare your meals, passengers can expect at least two inflight meal services and also a snack service on some flights. Traditional Turkish offerings such as Turkish coffee and Turkish delight are also available for business class customers.

Domestic Flights

Passengers can expect welcome drinks as well as hot or cold dishes depending on the time of day. Turkish cuisine such as shish kebab, karniyarik, manti and imambayild may feature as dishes on domestic flights.
